Due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, the Gala is being postponed to a later date. We are still trying to decide when it would be best to reschedule and we will let you know when a new date is chosen!
We have a great group of dancers anxiously waiting for this to be over so they can put on their dancing shoes!!

We are very excited to be planning our 10th Dancing for a Difference Gala in 2020. For the past 9 years we have had a great line up of celebrity dancers that have learned to dance, conquered a fear, marked something off of their bucket lists, had a lot of fun and raised a lot of money!
The Gala is the biggest fundraiser for Citizen Advocates and that is because of dancers like you! Much of the money is raised through vote sales. Dancers sell votes to everyone they know, individuals and businesses, in order to be the highest vote seller and take home the People’s choice trophy.
There is also a technical trophy that is awarded based on judge’s scores. Each dancer is paired with a Fred Astaire dance teacher who will work with you to learn a dance and will then come to the Gala on May 8 and perform with you. Dancers are provided with lessons generously donated by Fred Astaire of Wisconsin.
We will have a pre-event in late February to give you more information about the event, dance lessons, costumes and take photos that are used in marketing materials.
All of our Gala dancers are sponsored by a company or individual. We ask that dancers assist in looking for a sponsor for themselves. Sponsors receive an ad in our Gala program, listing on our website and facebook, signage at the event and before and a table to see the dancing. If you are not able to provide a sponsor, we will assist you.
